The Mansfield University Production of Les Miserables is set for March 6, 7, and 8 at 7:30PM and March 9 at 2:30PM. This will be the last performance in Straughn Hall before renovations begin in June.
Local high school district basketball continues. Earlier this week Neumann defeated Mansfield 74-62 in the District 4 A semifinals. Neumann will play Sullivan County for the district crown. Mansfield plays Galeton in the third place game.
Popular local restaurant The Wrens Nest is closing on March 1st. Stop by and enjoy some fabulous food inside a spectacular historic home. Here’s a history lesson on the place built in 1854 by Dr. Joseph Morris. The good doctor was also the man who donated the land where the University now stands.
Look what MU Alum Alan Probst is into now. His own jerky and beef sticks. You’ll soon see a full line of Wild Pennsylvania at a store near you. We in the PR Department were lucky enough to get a sample and have to say, it will make MU proud.
Don’t put away your shovel just yet. Winter will give us another one, two punch this weekend.
We’ve all said it. “Hurry up! McDonald’s stops serving breakfast in 15 minutes.” Sometimes 10:30 comes pretty early especially on weekends. The good news is McDonald’s is in the early stages of looking at whether it can make breakfast available later in the day.
