New President, New Buildings and New Champions.
President Fran Hendricks greeted more than 200 people from the campus and community during a special reception Wednesday in the North Hall Reading Room. The reception was preceded by a 8 a.m. Mansfield Downtown Development Corporation meeting and was followed by afternoon meetings with the MU Council of Trustees.

Welcome alumni to this year’s Alumni Weekend. In case you lost it, here’s a schedule of events, including the ever-popular Lobsterfest. 
Congratulations to Brenae Edwards who won the 10,000m run at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships to become the first National Champion in Mansfield University history. Jess Scordino finished sixth overall in the 10,000m as the duo earned All-American honors.

MU men’s basketball will host a variety of summer camps and clinics, a high school shootout and the first annual Mountaineer College Skills Academy throughout the June and July.

NBC 10 Philadelphia announced that Na’eem Douglas ’05 will join the news team as a reporter June 17. Na’eem was a communication major.

Construction of the new astro turf and lights has begun on Van Norman field and will be ready for MU to host its first night football game in 121 years.
